We are proud to say that we hold championship titles in the following areas:

Math & Science

·   Robotics Adopted by JC Penny

·   Math – Championship titles (Pre-calculus, Algebra I & II, Geometry & Calculus)

·   1^st place win for District Wide Science Fair winner, Biology.

         Theme: Effects of antibiotics on bacterial growth.   

Athletics

· 5A Boys’ Basketball Team (The Dream Team back to back)

·   Student breaks state record in the .60 meter hurdles, “State Champion”

Social Studies

·   Black History Essay Competition Sponsored by Birmingham Urban League

· We the People Oratorical Competition will compete on the national level in Washington D.C. Because of this success recommendations are being made for a Law Academy to be housed at Wenonah High. This will be a very unique academy.

 Hospitality & Tourism   

· FCCLA – Chapter Service Project –Gold medal

                           Focus on Children -Gold medal

                           Illustrated Talk –Silver medal

   Job Interview –Gold medal

·   Award winning Culinary Arts
