    Wenonah High School Remains a Leader in Excellence in Education.

    Here is just a sample of some of the great things happening at Wenonah High School.

     

    • Mrs. Fatima Kimbrough was recognized as a Top Teacher in Birmingham City Schools for her Gizmos Implementation
    • Dr. Kena Byrd was recognized as the PTA Teacher of the Year
    • Wenonah High School won 1stPlace in the Literacy Literature competition.
    • The Math Place won 1stin Algebra 1, 3rd in Geometry, and 3rd in Pre-Calculus
    • The Academic Bowl won 3rdPlace
    • The Skills USA team won 1stin the State competition and is competing on the national level.
    • The FCCLA team won 1stin the State competition is competing on the national level.
    • The Varsity Lady Dragons successfully defended their championship title, winning for the 3rdconsecutive year.
    • The Varsity Boys Football Team won the 5A Area championship
    • The Volleyball team made it state playoffs.
    • During Black History Month, Reverend Jesse Jackson made a return visit to the school to speak to our stakeholders.
    • The Wenonah High School band received a superior rating in their recent competition.
